Length : 4 mins
The gap between the two worlds is the living space of contemporary people, for example, the different lives before and after the covid-19 outbreak, or the struggle of the slash generation with traditional society (especially the East Asia) and the authenticity of the self. Observing that Hualien in Taiwan is the place where the two major plates meet, the artist was inspired by the majestic waves of the local area.
Depicting ocean and islands, is the echo to his own memories of growing up in Macau and Taiwan. Wave waves and never stops, we all float on the surface between the sky and the ocean, floating and sinking at the same time, drifting with the current helplessly. Being caught in the interface between two worlds and watching the double-sided scene at the same time is the experience brought by this VR work.
